Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships 2022-2023 are partially funded scholarships for international students. These scholarships are available for undergraduate and masters studies. These scholarships offer 500 EUR discount/semester (1000 EUR discount/year).

The aim of the Budapest Metropolitan University is to pursue a high level of education even compared to European Union standards in the fields of social sciences, economic studies, art and art mediation, communication and tourism in bachelor and master programmes, specific trainings, higher-level vocational training, tertiary-level vocational training and adult education

Scholarship Coverage

Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships provide the recipient with the following benefits:

The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are eligible to get 500 EUR discount/semester (1000 EUR discount/year).
The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are also eligible to receive the discount during the rest of their studies subject to the following conditions:
- Outstanding study performance
- They fulfill an internship of 60 hours/ semester at one of the administrative offices of METU, starting from the second semester. The tasks may include: sales and marketing tasks, representation on higher education fairs, organizing student events etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships

To be eligible for Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Required Languages: English
Eligible Countries: All World Countries

Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Bachelor’s level/:

English level min. C1
Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process.
In case Math test is needed, the applicant should reach min 80%
In case of Art and Design Programs, the professors should give a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35).
High-school GPA and grades min. 80% e.g.:
SAT 1280/1600
IB 6/7
Cambridge IGCSE min. 2 A or 4 AS levels.
We also accept all other national / international High-school diplomas; the GPA always has to be above 80%

Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Master’s level/:

English level min. C1.
Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process.
In case of Art and Design Programs, the professors should give a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35).
Bachelor’s GPA min. 80%, in case it’s available at your previous university, min. First Class Bachelor Hons Degree.
The final decision about the scholarship allocation will be made by the Admission Committee.
The maximum number of scholarship winners is 30 student.

How to Apply for Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships?

Please follow the following instructions to avail this scholarship:

You have to go through the normal application procedure at apply.metropolitan.hu.
It’s not necessary to apply to the scholarship separately, the Admission Committee will automatically choose and award the most excellent applicants.
