IELTS Indicator is the online test that students can take to demonstrate their English language skills during the COVID-19 shut down when it’s not possible to visit the official test centre. IELTS Indicator is not accepted for migration in Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

IELTS Indicator is an official product that you can take to prove English Language Proficiency to taking admission to your dream college. The test-taker will get the scores within seven days – both an indicative score for each section and an overall band score.

How does IELTS Indicator work?

It’s an online, live test that has a start time and duration. To attempt the test students must have a suitable computer with reliable internet access. Candidates need to take the test in one sitting without any break. The complete test includes Reading, Writing, and Listening skills and the time will be approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Speaking test is conducted through Zoom with an examiner. The Speaking test is conducted any other day it can be given before or after the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections test. Each section is time-bound. Also, you cannot pause the test.

Who accepts IELTS Indicator?

Universities across the world and various other educational institutions use IELTS Indicator to assess the standard of applicants’ language abilities when test-takers cannot access the IELTS (in-person) test centres. Please check with your university whether they are accepting it before booking it.

Is it available for IELTS General and IELTS Academic both?

Currently, the IELTS Indicator is available only forIELTS Academic. IELTS Partners has launched it for students who want to apply to universities abroad.
