JAMB Registration Requirements and Procedures; https-jamb-gov-ng
- National Identification Number (NIN): This is mandatory for all candidates.
- JAMB Profile: Candidates need to create a JAMB profile by sending their NIN to a designated JAMB SMS code.
- JAMB e-PIN: This is purchased from authorized vendors like banks or online platforms.
- Valid Email Address and Phone Number: These are crucial for communication and profile creation.
- O’level/A’level Results: Candidates need to upload their results if available, or they can be uploaded later.
- Passport Photograph: A recent passport photograph with a white background is required.
- Choice of Institutions and Courses: Candidates need to select their preferred institutions and courses of study.
- Choice of Examination Town: Candidates need to select their preferred examination town for the UTME.
- Biometric Capture: Biometric data (fingerprints) will be captured at the accredited CBT center.
- Obtain NIN: If you don’t have a NIN, visit a NIMC enrolment center to obtain one.
- Create JAMB Profile: Send your NIN to 55019 or 66019 (e.g., NIN 12345678901) to receive a profile code.
- Purchase JAMB e-PIN: Acquire the e-PIN from authorized vendors.
- Visit Accredited CBT Center: Go to a JAMB-accredited CBT center with your e-PIN, NIN, and other required documents.
- Complete Registration: The CBT center officials will assist you in completing the registration and capturing your biometric data.
- Print Registration Slip: After completing the registration, print your examination slip.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 16 years old in the year of admission.
- Biometric Verification: Ensure your biometric data is captured correctly, as it will be used for verification on exam day.
- Exam Slip: Keep your exam slip safe and bring it on the day of the exam.
- Review Entries: Carefully review all your entries before submitting your registration.
- JAMB Regularization: If you have an admission but lack a JAMB admission letter, you may need to apply for JAMB regularization.
- Direct Entry: Direct Entry candidates also need to register with JAMB and provide relevant documents like the previous institution’s admission letter.
The JAMB registration in Nigeria will start on Saturday 19th, February and end on Saturday 26th March.
The JAMB examination will take take place from Friday 6th to Monday 16th May . The JAMB mock examination date is Saturday 9th April .
Registration for the Joint Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam is through the creation of a profile code by sending your NIN number to ‘55019‘ or ‘66019’ as a text message.
Dial *55019*1*NIN# or *66019*1*NIN# to get your ten (10) digits JAMB profile code.
NIN is an eleven (11) digit code that stands for National Identification number.
The amount for the JAMB registration is four thousand and seven hundred naira (₦4,700).

National Identification Number (NIN)
The National Identification Number (NIN) is an eleven (11) digit code that is compulsory for the JAMB examination.
You can get your NIN number by visiting a registration centre that is close to you.
The requirement to get the NIN number for your JAMB registration is;
- Birth Certificate
- Local Government of Origin Certificate.
JAMB Profile Code
The JAMB profile code is a ten (10) digit number for the registration process.
You can generate your JAMB profile code by dialling *55019*1*NIN# or *66019*1*NIN# on your phone.
Generation of your JAMB profile code will cost you fifty naira (₦50).
Phone Number
You need a mobile phone number for the creation of your JAMB profile code.
Your phone number would also be used for filling your biodata.
Do not use the same phone number that you used for last year JAMB registration.
Email Address
A Google email address is a requirement for the creation of your JAMB profile.
You will use your email address and password to access your JAMB CAPS to accept your admission on the JAMB portal.

O’level/A’level Result
O’level is your senior secondary school leaving certificate result. An example is your WAEC and NECO results.
You can register for the JAMB examination using awaiting results if you are still in Senior Secondary School. You would be able to upload your result to the JAMB portal when your O’levl is out.
A’level result is an advance secondary school result for direct entry applicants.
