JAMB drops its cut-off point The news is that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has dropped the idea of suggesting its own cut-off point which used to serve as the minimum below which no candidate could be admitted into a Nigerian tertiary institution. JAMB announces cut-off point for 2022 admissions The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and relevant stakeholders have agreed on the minimum cut-off point for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. It was unanimously agreed at the 2022 Policy meeting that 140 will be the minimum cut-off point for admission into a university. 100 was voted for Polytechnics and Monotechnics, while 80 was voted for Colleges of Education. JAMB to probe CBT centres over extortion, threatens fine The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board is set to commence investigations into reported cases of extortions by some operators of Computer Based Test centres, The PUNCH reports. The CBT centres were accused of overcharging candidates during registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations and Direct Entry examinations.
