The Faculty of Social Sciences has as its mission broadly, the task of allowing learners to grasp through the content areas and curriculum frame-works, practical and essential life skills and excellence through its mode of instructional delivery system. The Faculty is aim at broadening student horizons and enhancing their intellectual understanding of the Social Sciences and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the changing needs of the Nigerian community.
A social science student should aim at been a well-informed global citizen, equipped with analytical and communicative, problem-solving skills, and a broadened view of the human experience.
Through his studies, he aims at promoting cultural sustainability, social justice, equity, equality, national cohesion, and excellence in content and character.
A social science student needs high quality guidance and education that will transform him into responsible citizens that will contribute positively to the needs of the increasingly global and ever-changing society.
