An answer verification service is available for every paper and pencil SAT administration. Depending on when and where you take the SAT, you will receive either the Question-and-Answer Service (QAS) or the Student Answer Service (SAS).

If you order a service, its information will be available online with your score report.

If you’re eligible for an SAT fee waiver, you can get the QAS or SAS for free.

Question-and-Answer Service (QAS)

The Question-and-Answer Service includes this information:

A copy of the SAT questions and a report showing your answers from the specific test administration. The questions might not be in the same order you saw them on test day.
The correct answers and additional scoring instructions.
Information about the type and difficulty of test questions.

*If you’re testing in October or March with school-based accommodations and want to receive the QAS, call the SSD office at least two weeks before test day to determine whether the QAS is available. ^Answer services will not be available for digital exams.

The Question-and-Answer Service isn’t available for makeup test administrations, alternate date testing, or U.S. military personnel testing under the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) program.

Student Answer Service is available when Question-and-Answer Service is unavailable.

Hand Score Verification

If your score is very different from what you expected, you might have made an obvious mistake in marking your answers. In this case, we can attempt to rescore your test by using hand score verification.

The hand score verification process is performed only once per test.
