How to apply for NOUN Admission

Please follow this Noun admission procedure to fasten your National Open University admission application. The process is quite straight forward and if you need further assistance you can contact us with the number at the right corner of this page.

To apply to join the university, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the National Open University portal for admissions.
  2. On the NOUN website home page, go to the Menu Bar, click on the “Apply for Admission” button.
  3. Select either to apply for NOUN Undergraduate Programme, NOUN Postgraduate Admission.
  4. Go to “Choose Faculty” (found at the left-hand side of the Noun Application page).
  5. Select the Faculty.
  6. Fill out the displayed NOUN Online Application form.
  7. Click below to view the admission requirements for the selected programme.
  8. Click the “Apply” option to proceed.
  9. Take note of the NOUN admission application unique ID displayed. You will need it when printing the NOUN admission letter and for the NOUN admission process continuation.
  10. Click the ‘Continue‘ option.
  11. Select Bank Branch as payment type. You may choose other payment options to pay for the admission form online with your ATM/ Master Card.
  12. To continue with the Bank Branch Payment option, click the “Pay” option.
  13. Then, copy and take the generated Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number to any NOUN participating bank for payment.

After payment of the NOUN admission form fee at a bank branch,

  1. Perform steps 1 to 3 again.
  2. Go to the “Continue After Payment” option.
  3. Input the generated Unique ID, RRR number and programme.
  4. Click the “Proceed” option.
  5. Fill out the online form. Note that all fields marked with a red star are compulsory, so do not skip any.

After filling out the online form,

  1. Click the “Submit” option.
  2. Print the admission letter.
  3. Finally, visit the nearest study centre for screening. It must be the study centre you chose while filling out the application form.

Note that the university does not have a separate NOUN student portal for checking of students (NOUN admission list).
