Typically PTE results are declared in five days. However the conducting body of the PTE Academic Exam, Pearson PLC Group is making efforts to bring this down to two days. In 2020, the majority of the PTE results were declared in a record time of 1.2 days, for the sole benefit of the PTE test taker. Candidates can expect their PTE results in two days for the current year.

How to check PTE results?

Candidates can access their PTE scores via their PTE online account which they would have created during the PTE registration process. Candidates would receive an email notifying them about the availability of their PTE scores. After receiving the notification, candidates would be required to log in to their Pearson VUE account (myPTE) and access their scores.

How to Send PTE Score Report?

Candidates who wish to send their PTE scores can do so via an online secure portal set up by PTE. Universities do not accept paper or PDF versions of PTE Academic score reports. PTE Test takers should note that the facility of sending PTE scores to universities is free and comes with no added charges. However, candidates would have to follow the steps mentioned below.

Click ‘View Score Reports’
Click ‘Send Scores’
Type the name of your chosen institution and select your institution
Type the name of our chosen course and select your preferred course of study
Review your details then scroll down the page and click ‘Next’ to confirm
Repeat for each institution (you can send your PTE scores to as many institutions as you like for free)

Rescoring the PTE Score?

If candidates are unsatisfied with their PTE Score they can request a rescore. However, since the PTE Academic is a computer-scored test, the chance of an error is highly minimalized. Only spoken responses and open-ended written responses are rescored. Candidates can only request a rescore for their most recent PTE Academic Test and candidates are barred from requesting a rescore if they have already either scheduled another test or sent their score to an institution. In the event the score changes, the new score will replace the previous score and the original score report will be reissued to reflect the new score.

How is the PTE exam scored (Section-wise)

The various sections in the PTE exam, (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) are scored on a scale of 10 – 90 where 10 is the lowest, with increments of 1 point.
