About The New JAMB Profile Code

As mentioned earlier, JAMB has introduced a new registration pattern as part of its mission to prevent students from applying on multiple occasions.

The recent changes are also seen as part of the body’s desire to limit exam malpractice in the country.

The Jamb profile code is one of the things introduced by the board. It is a 10-digit code student must provide during the UTME registration.

You can only obtain the profile code after sending your NIN to a JAMB’s designated SMS number (55019 or 66019) using your phone number.

JAMB will automatically link your NIN and your mobile number before sending you the profile code.

This means you can’t use your phone number with another person’s NIN. Likewise, someone else can’t use your NIN with his phone number.

Unfortunately, you can’t get a profile code without providing your unique NIN digit. This automatically means students without NIN can’t register for JAMB. So, let’s see how to get your NIN from the concerned agency.
