1. To be considered for one of the Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught Durham University International Scholarships (tuition fee discounts) for entry, applicants must:

• Complete the appropriate programme application process in full
• Be in receipt of a conditional offer
• Accept the offer by deadlines specified.

No separate application is required. Once an offer of a place is made to an applicant, they will automatically be considered for a scholarship without the need for a separate application process to be completed.

1. Only successful candidates will be notified of scholarship (tuition fee discount) decisions.
2. Scholarship (tuition fee discount) decisions are at the discretion of the International Office and all decisions are final.
3. There is no cash alternative to be offered if a place on the programme is not taken up.

• MPhil degree in Economics, Economic Research or Economics and Finance
• the Advanced Diploma in Economics
• a PhD in Economics

• You have fallen into financial hardship after starting your course of study with an appropriate funding arrangement in place
• You are not eligible to apply to the University Discretionary Fund by virtue of your residence status
• A payment from the fund would make a significant contribution to your ability to continue your studies successfully; and
• You are unable to meet your immediate living costs through your existing funding.

The level of award will be judged on a case to case basis.

• All full-time, one year Masters courses that are offered by the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics are eligible.
• All nationalities and fee status
• Scholarship application deadline is 31 May

Applicants must have an offer of a place on the course by the deadline (to meet this criteria, we recommend that the University application is submitted by 3 December Applicants must have College membership with Fitzwilliam by the deadline.

• It is not possible to transfer Colleges in order to be eligible for this Studentship, but all those who name Fitzwilliam as their first choice, or who are allocated via 2nd choice or random allocation, will be eligible
