How to Register for the GRE General Test
Table of Contents
The GRE General Test is offered year-round as a computer-delivered test in most locations around the world. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early to get your preferred test date and test location. You can register online or by phone.
The first and last name you use when you register for a GRE test must exactly match (excluding accents) your name on the identification (ID) documents that you will present on the day of your GRE test. If it does not, you may be prohibited from taking the test or your test scores may be canceled after you take the test.
Note: By submitting your registration for a GRE General Test, you are agreeing to abide by all procedures and policies in the GRE® Information Bulletin (PDF), on the GRE website or communicated to you at the test administration for which you have registered.
